Digital files can be sent on, Zip 100, DVD and CD. We accept Quarkexpress, Illustrator, and photoshop files. To ensure correct output of your files please send by post a laser or cromalin proof.

Images must be 300dpi at output size. Only Quarkexpress, Illustrator, tifs, jpgs, and eps files will be accepted (CMYK colours only please - ONE will do standard colour conversions on files supplied as RGB and can not be responsible them). Colour Film - Positive right read emulsion down + cromalin. Screen 150. Mono Film - Positive right read emulsion down + bromide. Screen 120.

A one off minimum charge of £25 + VAT will be applied for typesetting, £10 per scan from prints, £20 from transparency (minimum output size). Retouching and design charged at £55 per hour.

The Officer magazine is the recognised independent bi-monthly magazine for the international
defence community. It is the only independent magazine recognised by the British Ministry of Defence for distribution to serving Officers of the Armed Forces. In addition to its wide readership distribution within the British establishment, The Officer is recognised as a major commentator on matters of Global Defence and National Security within NATO countries, the EU, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, selected military establishments within Africa's 53 member States, selected Commonwealth countries and key, global markets which influence the magazine's known commitment to excellence in covering matters of defence and security systems. It speaks out robustly on all issues that impact on the Armed Forces - reflecting their opinions, concerns, interests and tastes. The Officer magazine provides the ideal means to reach this vast, global market.

Circulation

Controlled and comprehensive bulk circulation to Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army and RAF to over 32,000 regular Officers and 50,000 Senior NCOs in some 500 messes and wardrooms in the UK and overseas and 8,000 Volunteer Reserve Officers in messes and wardrooms in the UK. The magazines are distributed in proportion to the numbers using the messes and wardrooms with bulk supplies going to London clubs, and 1,000 copies are distributed by NELC (National Employer's Liaison Committee) to their commercial and industrial members. Personal copies are received by the Secretary of State for Defence, the Directors General at the Defence Procurement Agency, senior Officers and senior civil Servants in the MoD, Whitehall and other Service Headquarters staff. Also Embassies, Defence Attachees, MPs and Members of the House of Lords as well as a large number of subscribing retired Officers.
